Dear all, The Human Centered Computing Lab (HCC.lab) is an international research group at the Institute of Computer Science at the Freie Universität Berlin. We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher in the area of semantic technologies for a 3 years full-time position (salary base: E13 TV-L FU). The goal of the HCC group (hcc.imp.fu-berlin.de) is to provide cutting-edge research in distributed socio-technical systems, semantic technologies, and computer-supported cooperative work. Particular focus is in the areas of Knowledge Transfer, E-Research, and knowledge building communities. The HCC is committed to the open software, open access, and open knowledge. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who focusing our current research portfolio to the design and development of semantic technologies. The applicant will supervise a team of five researchers (Ph.D. and Master students) in the context of the research project Ideas2Market, a research project in the area of knowledge transfer. Furthermore, the application will lead the further development of the semantic annotation software neonion (neonion.org). We expect the applicant to actively contributing in the further development of this research area, for example by acquiring additional third-party funding. Applicants should have the following qualifications: – A Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a related field; – A strong background in Semantic Technologies and Linked Data, Knowledge Representation; – Excellent scientific credentials; – Experience with and ability to work within an academic, interdisciplinary environment; – Experience in leading research projects and teams of young researchers successfully; – Excellent English language skills as well as knowledge of German are an advantage.
